I may just have to make my self one of these.

I really like port, but I can never see somebody at a club sipping on Port, in a bar maybe but at a club never.

Óscar,

I must say that I tasted this drink, thanks to Manu and Bruno, and I loved it. It's really really good. Even better than Caipirinha.

Kisses and see you soon in Pesqueira.

Portonic is being successful, mainly in the younger band of the consumers. And what is important is that Portonic is bringing more consumers to the Port business. It goes better with dry white port but is also tasty with sweet white. CaipiRoyal should go in the same way, attract consumers that would never try the traditional Port. And this will not finish the traditional way to drink Port.

If you have no idea of Port and if you have the opportunity to taste Caipiroyal or Portonic or pink port in a bar, one day later you will want to taste the traditional Port.

Óscar,
I liked: CaipiRoyal, A Port Cocktail From A Port Wine Producer - Is Cocktail The Future of Port?

But what do you think about: The Standard White Ports are well suited to be used in a mix like the Portonic. This is an aperitif with equal parts of Dry White Port and tonic, with a slice of lemon or lime and an ice cube. The versions with Sweet and Light Dry should also be given a try. The Portonic is served in a high, narrow long drink glass.

And what about these cocktails: Most people will not give Port in cocktails a second thought.
Nevertheless, the Portonic has become a great success. It is made with equal parts of Dry White Port and tonic, with a slice of lemon or lime and one or two ice cubes. The versions with Sweet White and Light Dry White should also be given a try. The Portonic is served in a high, narrow long drink glass.

I haven't tasted it myself (missed it at the Porto & Douro Wine show) but it looks like a very interesting and tasty drink.

If Port continues to carry the traditional brand label, then young people won't drink it. It's with things like CaipiRoyal that Port can be made cool and attract a whole new set of consumers (that we will even grow with the brand for years to come).
