Oscar Quevedo, on the left: was born in 1946 in the village of Vidigueira, Alentejo and studied in S. João da Pesqueira and Coimbra, where he got a degree in Law. Then he worked as a notary and lawyer and in 1977 he and his wife, Beatriz, decided do go to S. João da Pesqueira to start growing grapes. In 1990 they built the winery from where all the Quevedo wines come from.
Claudia is the winemaker of the family since 1999, after getting a degree in Enology in UTAD, Vila Real. Before starting in Quevedo, Claudia did a stage program in Barros & Almeida (acquired by Sogevinus in 2006). She loves very old Port aged in oak! She has a daughter, Beatriz and is married with Fernando.
Oscar Quevedo (son) was born in 1983, in Viseu and lives in Porto, with his wife Nadia. He spent his youth between vines and barrels, where his parents, grandparents and great grandparents have been making Port Wine.
In 2005 got a degree in Economics in the University of Porto and started to work in finance in the Portuguese bank BPI. One year later moved to Switzerland and in 2007 to Madrid, Spain, where stayed until 2009. Now Oscar is in charge of the marketing and exports of the company.
