Our blogger Bruno gets married - Time to celebrate!
Quevedo is still celebrating! Besides the launch of the Rosé Port, this week brought us another not less important event: Bruno’s wedding! Although Bruno has been away from posting on our blog, he continues to bring a lot of ideas and innovation to Quevedo. After a 6-year relationship, Bruno and Lucia decided to get married and will continue to live in Oporto.
During the wedding reception the red wines we had were Quinta Vale d’Agodinho 2003 and Cortes de Cima Chaminé. We also had Quevedo Rosé Port as aperitif and a chilled Quevedo White Port. With the deserts and cheeses we tried the Colheita 1994, which you will read about in the upcoming post.
Bruno and Lucia are now flying to Greece where they will spend a 2 weeks honey-moon.

Festa magnífica, com excelente gosto, ao nível dos noivos. Cá os esperamos, com nova cor depois da estadia grega e com a Lúcia carregada de prendas, oferecidas pelo Bruno, em Paris.
Sabor do dia: Porto Branco
Sílvio, foi sem dúvida uma grande festa e o Chaminé da família Jorgensen ajudou a isso! A parte das prendas vamos ver… ele mãos largas não é muito!! Agora talvez os Bons Ares gregos tenham ajudado o noivo!!!
After a long period to rest and to recover of the wedding, and of a year of intensive work, I am back to normal life, but now married.
Thanks Carrie, definitely the wines chosen contributed to the great party. I couldn’t have done a best choice.

Quevedo was founded in 1991 as a family owned business in the heart of the Douro valley, responding to the needs of the generations that preceded the associate founders. These ancestors were passionately dedicated to their vineyards and to the culture that surrounded the production of wine. Consequently, the company was created as a seamless marriage between the initial phase of production and the promotion and selling of their wines. Currently, the estate is comprised of 100 hectares located in the regions of Cima-Corgo and Douro Superior, producing both red and port wines from only the five traditional port grapes Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão and Tinta Barroca.
Best wishes to the happy couple, Bruno and Lucia! We feel honored that our wine, Chaminé, an Alentejan blend, was chosen for a Wedding among winemakers in the Douro!
