Quevedo Port Wine Press Release for the date of December, 4th, 2008
Portuguese Wine Will Be Tasted in the London Bloggers Christmas Meeting
QUEVEDO AND CORTES DE CIMA PARTICIPATE IN A WINE TASTING FOR LONDON BLOGGERS
The tasting will take place on the December 9th, during the Christmas celebrations of the London Bloggers, a group of bloggers from London, who promote monthly meetings.
The purpose of the tasting is to introduce bloggers from other industries: marketing; IT; travel; photography; events; to the world of wine blogging. Coordinated by the wine critic Robert McIntosh, from Wine Conversation (http://wineconversation.com), around 100 bloggers will taste wines from Spain, Italy, France, Germany, and the two Portuguese wines Cortes de Cima Syrah 2004 and Porto Quevedo Reserve Ruby.
Located in Vidigueira, Alentejo, Cortes de Cima (http://cortesdecima.pt) was, in 1999, the first Portuguese winery to launch a web and, in July 2008, the first to create a blog. While Quevedo (http://quevedoportwine.com), placed in the heart of the Douro, S. João da Pesqueira, was, in July 2008, the first Port Wine Producer to communicate to the world through a blog.
This new way of communication performed by these producers is contributing to interact with a big number of internet users, sharing their day to day activities, difficulties and successes.

Quevedo was founded in 1991 as a family owned business in the heart of the Douro valley, responding to the needs of the generations that preceded the associate founders. These ancestors were passionately dedicated to their vineyards and to the culture that surrounded the production of wine. Consequently, the company was created as a seamless marriage between the initial phase of production and the promotion and selling of their wines. Currently, the estate is comprised of 100 hectares located in the regions of Cima-Corgo and Douro Superior, producing both red and port wines from only the five traditional port grapes Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão and Tinta Barroca.
