2008 Quinta Vale d’Agodinho Quevedo Vintage Port

Vintage 2008Durante o último mês temos estado ocupados não só a fazer os vinhos da colheita de 2010, mas também a preparar o engarrafamento de um Vinho do Porto da Colheita de 2008. Tínhamos na nossa adega um pequeno lote de Portos da nossa principal vinha, a Quinta Vale d’Agodinho, que decidimos declarar como Single Quinta Vintage Port. Os Vinhos do Porto de 2008 são, na minha opinião bons, mas não optámos por engarrafar com a nossa marca de família, Quevedo. Queríamos, no entanto, mostrar e partilhar com os nossos amigos o carácter e complexidade das uvas da Quinta Vale d’Agodinho. Deste modo, decidimos engarrafar um reduzido número de garrafas nos formatos de 75cl, 150cl, 300cl e 600cl. É a primeira vez que declaramos um Single Quinta Vintage Port e se quiser provar, tenho todo o prazer em partilhar consigo na sua próxima visita à nossa adega.

    Hi Gerwin, the harvest is about to finish, we may collect everything by next Saturday. I hope I can find some room in my luggage for the magnum, I've to share it with your family! Oscar

    Good luck finishing up the harvest, Oscar, have been thinking of you, passed by Vale d'Agodinho several times the past couple weeks en route to Vesuvio and thereabouts, have some nice photos taken from train line. Take care.

    Having had this Port twice (both times double blind) in the past few weeks I can say it is very good. Both times my scores were consistent (taken one week apart) at 93-94 points. A very deserving Port...keep up the good work! Andy
